Marker illustration seems to be making a bit of a comeback and more and more clients and agencies are asking for it.

It's a brilliant way of showing a client what you're thinking but is still indicative enough for them to put their own ideas into (something that hardly ever happens with a photograph - they either like it or hate it), it's fast and it's great for showing images you can't find from a photolibrary.
